Ingredients
1 table spoon olive oil
4x Aberdeen angus fillet steaks (450g)
100g Mushroom Pate
375g sheet ready rolled puff pastry, unrolled and cut into four equal rectangles
One beaten egg
Green Beans
Seasoning
Equipment
Large frying pan
Pastry brush
Baking Sheet
Fork
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C/Gas Mark 7
2. Heat the oil in the large frying pan and sear the steaksfor 1-2 minutes, until brown, then leave them to cool
3. Spread the pate onto one end of each rectangle of pastry, 1cm from the edge
4. Place each steak on top of the pate and season
5. Brush the pastry edges with egg and fold the pastry over the steak.
6. Press the edges to seal them and trim to neaten.
7. Transfer to a baking sheet
8. Brush each parcel with egg and prick the top with a fork.
9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden.
10. Steam the beans
11. Leave to rest for 3-4 minutes.
12. Serve with steamed green beans
